What are these weird things?

I have clusters of these on the wooden planks of my raised beds. They were bright orange two days ago but are now brown.

Are they eggs for something gross eg spiders?

What would you do about them?

Slime moulds have all sorts of odd names. There's one called dog vomit slime mould because, well, it looks like dog vomit.

They're a separate thing to fungi, some look similar though.

Slime moulds are fascinating, some of them can work out mazes and they've been used in considering road networks.

Baby spiders are amazing too. If you find a tiny tight balling of them, puff on it and they all rush out along all but invisible threads. It's like watching a firework go off.
