Protective but attractive

We have a raised bed that the dog jumps up on to before getting onto the low wall and then jumping over into the cow field beyond. Any thoughts on plants to put in as a deterent? Need to be hardy as the wind whips in across the Cheshire Plain from the west but I'd also like something nice to look at. All ideas welcome - thanks!

Buddleia, gorse, forsythia or honeysuckle would all provide a natural fence
