Garden gradient

Hi

I am buying a new build property with a garden gradient of 1:140, sloping towards the house. Is that a bad thing?

Would be grateful for any advice, thanks.

1 in 140 sounds barely noticeable. Never measured ours but it's definitely more than.that.

Is the house terraced, or can any rain runoff flow around 1 or both sides?

Many thanks for your response.

The house is detached and hence rain runoff can flow around both sides.

If you were building a patio the recommended gradient would be between 1:60 and 1:100 to allow rainwater run off. Your garden is flatter than that.

Many thanks for your response. I am hoping that would not cause any problems?
