the tree is next door and the roots are coming inot our garden and firstly moved the fence. Now the patio is slightly raising.

A nieghbour told us that the tree cant be chopped down.
We actually like the tree, but now the roots are becoming a prob.
Anyone know if you can do things to stop the roots going any further??

Thanks

You can prune roots. You will need to research for the type of tree, etc.

We had a beech tree in the neighbours garden causing damage to our house, so it was taken care of by our buildings insurance.

Rather stupidly I claimed on our insurance, so really just wanted to say that if you find yourself in a similar situation, get them to claim it on theirs.
