Cheap hanging baskets?

I have just moved into a new house and there are brackets in the back and front gardens for about 8 hanging baskets in total. I would like to use them as I love gardening but haven't done hanging baskets before.

Money is a bit tight because of moving, what are your recommendations for cheaper hanging baskets/plant combinations? Lots of bright colour would be good.

For the baskets themselves I often find it cheaper to buy the baskets ready planted, oddly enough. Keep your eye out for ready planted baskets in the "reduced to clear" bit in Homebase etc as often they don't look after ready planted baskets well enough, the plants die and the whole thing gets flogged off cheap. The plants I side will often revive with a bit of TLC but if not the basket alone is often worth the price.

Nasturtiums would make a good, colourful hanging basket filler. Start from seed along with lobelia. You could try dwarf sweet peas but I've not had much luck. I've grown strawberries in hanging baskets before - not sure if you'd consider them colourful enough but they look really good. Cheap to buy or someone might be giving away runners locally.

Thank you @deplorabelle , that's good advice on the ready planted and I do actually have some lobelia seeds so I'll give that a go too!
