I spent ages researching varieties of magnolia to put in my new (first ever!) garden. I'm set on a magnolia soulangeana Lilliputian which I think will be perfect. Chap who is doing some other work for me says it is not available. Am I looking at the wrong time of year or for too obscure a thing? Can anyone help me source this variety as I'd rather wait and have this beautiful tree - https://www.gardenia.net/plant/magnolia-soulangeana-lilliputian-saucer-magnolia Ideally it would go in as large as it can as I know they grow slowly and I'm bound to kill it off if it is a fragile little thing

This lot all come up on the RHS website as suppliers of magnolia soulangeana - other smaller magnolia S may be available. Lilliputian isn't listed on the RHS website. What is it about that one you like in particular?

Thanks olderbutwiser that's a great tip of where to look. The flowers are beautiful although I know they're not specific to the lilliputian. The main thing about this one is it won't ever get so big it may upset people in the flats above me!
