Pruning David Austin Roses

Hoping there are some roses experts out there. 2/3 of my DA shrub roses still have their greenish leaves from last year (albeit with black spots), I hope to prune them the end of Feb. If the leaves are still on them, is it OK to prune them or do I wait for them to fall off?

Prune them now. They will start to bud in a few weeks if Iit is mild. Don’t let leaves fall to the ground as this will just spread disease.

Thank you for the advice, weather looks mild today so I will venture out into the garden!
