Anyone an expert on Purple Sprouting Broccoli?

I harvested the central heads last week/10days ago, i took some more spears off tonight, ABSOLUTLY DELICIOUS!! But they were only 2" long and i fear i have taken off the beginings of the next sprouts. Where exactly does the next set of sprouts come from?
