Bare root fruit tree recommendations

Hello hive mind.
I want to grow bare root pear and plum trees.
I'm in London with hard clay soil which I supplement with home made compost.
I had two areas which get full sun. One windy, one sheleterd.
Can anyone share their experiences growing fruit trees and or recommend varieties or nurseries which stock bare fruit trees.

I’ve brought several from https://www.chrisbowers.co.uk/ recently. Highly recommended, strong plants and well wrapped in straw, which you can then use to mulch round the trees when you’ve planted them
