Have you recently received a letter about price increases and am I right in thinking they've out the subscription cost up by FIFTY percent?!?!

What was the cost before, and what is it now? Have a look online to see if there are better deals, especially if you are getting it via a third party.

Ta - It was £24.50 per 6 months, going up to £37 per 6 months.

I just went to cancel and got an offer for the old price for 6 more months so I've stuck with that for now. I don;t know why it never occurred to me that others might be able to offer a sub for cheaper but I'll keep that in mind for the future. Thanks again.

The cost has gone up so much that I don't buy it any more. £9.99 last time, and I really don't need any more lettuce seeds!

I used to buy it occasionally from the newsagents, but I don't any more. It is ridiculously expensive.

Save your money, and join the RHS instead. Or buy some actual books on particular gardening topics that interest you.

I read it on Press Reader every month for free. Our local library has a subscription and I think there are other similar schemes.

I used to buy it and have kept a couple of back copies for every month of the year. The advice hardly changes and the articles repeat.

If you are not concerned about getting the free seeds join Readily. I worked out how much I was spending on gardening mags and realised this was cheaper way of things

So I now read
GW
The English Garden
Garden illustrated
Modern Garden
Kitchen Garden
Gardening Answers
Gardening News
House and Garden

all for less than a tenner per month.
