Rose for a friend

I've seen lots of recommendations for David Austin roses so thought I'd try their website for a rose that smells lovely (& looks lovely too) for a friends up coming birthday.
Everytime I go on the website , the web chat robot isn't very helpful and I never get out through to a real person !

So , would any one be able to recommend a lovely fragranced rose that either symbolises 'friendship' or is called something like 'friend'

David Austin is not terribly good at naming roses in the way you suggest - I’ve tried for similar ideas in the past and failed!

If you aren’t wedded to the theme, I have a lovely Strawberry Fair, and A Shropshire Lad is gorgeous. Or, if you could be tempted by an Old Rose, Madame Hardy is my all-time favourite (though she doesn’t repeat -flower).

I think yellow roses mean friendship.

David Austin does one called "the poet's wife" which I think rather lovely.

I love David Austin roses , although yellow is not my favourite colour as I like the pinks and deep reds. Ido have a golden celebration and was pondering g Bring Me Sunshine which is a more recent rose as I liked it's name and description.

Vanessa Bell is a lovely, elegant, pale yellow DA rose if you didn't want something too yellow. Tottering by Gently is a gorgeous single flowered yellow, good for pollinators but probably not highly scented. For a stronger yellow, Buttercup apparently has the most amazing fragrance.

Not quite yellow, more ochre and apricot, but "Buff Beauty' and 'Lady of Shalott' both have fabulous scents.
