Being let down

Here we are in Wexford, got a price for a laurel hedge to be planted, agreed a price etc... nothing, no contact, nothing more, all contact completely dead.
What is it with traders, do they not want the work. Are they so well off that they can come out, quote a job and then just let it drop?
It is so frustrating to be let down time after time with no word of explanation or even a "sorry".

It is very frustrating isn't it? We tend to use people who our friends & family have used and can recommend.

Well after looking at the price for potted plants, which takes a bit of pressure off planting, then the price to hire a 100mm petrol earth auger... we've decided to do it ourselves and save money.
