Saver sized tulip bulbs

I want to buy some tulip bulbs. I understand that the size of the bulb matters according to the tulip variety (10-12cm, 14cm), etc. But what are ‘saver sized bulbs’? They don’t sound ideal? I’d like some really beautiful tulips having been inspired by a visit to the Netherlands this Spring.

Sorry, I've not heard that description before. But Bloms bulbs are absolutely spectacular ( if a little pricey) . It's getting a bit late maybe, I normally order in the summer and they deliver in September / October

Also @Sunshinedahlias where do you buy your dahlias? Many thanks for the advice.

Dahlias from Halls of Heddon ...they are very helpful and their dahlias are always amazing . You can buy tubers ( more expensive ) , or ' mini plants' which get delivered in late spring and still produce amazing blooms by summer.
