Spooky Sedum

Just before Halloween something strange has happened in my garden.

My 7 year old beautiful sedum plant has been completely uprooted from its pot and lined up in the garden in a uniformed fashion.

It has complete freaked my out, I've checked with DH who has been known to dig up plants before now (RIP Peony), the kids haven't been in the garden all weekend and are claiming they know nothing about it.

Does anyone have any idea what might have done this? It's really freaked me out! The way it's lined up just doesn't look like something an animal would be able to do.

Is your garden accessible from the road, or a neighbouring garden? Without seeing a photo it's hard to say what might have done it, but from what you say, it sounds like someone being mischievous

@longtompot there is a side gate which wouldn't be hard to bypass but I don't understand why anyone would would come in just to do that. My thought was squirrels but it's just so strange how it's been laid out.
