Fuchsia dropping dead fast

Big old bush. I trimmed the fuchsia knobbly disease off in the summer and it started to perk.

Cat dug hole and relieved self lavishly over it. Next door cat ditto.

It’s dying, but it’s a strong old thing. Any way of rescuing it? I love it.

It’s in a pot if that helps.

Take some cuttings just in case?

That’s such a good idea! Thank you. I don’t know what’s befallen the dear old thing.

Has it got vine weevils? Tip it out and have a look - you will soon tell when you see the small white grubs munching the roots to nothing!

If it has, wash all the soil off and repot in fees compost. There is a chemical control- but I'm not sure how effective it is.

Take some cuttings as well!
