Another request! Anyone know what this monster is, and if so, how do I care for it?

It’s another of my ‘rescued-from-the-nearly-dead-section!’ and it seems I really have rescued it. It’s taking over! Should I cut it right back? I’ve repotted it already.

I’d appreciate any tips/advice. Thank you

It's a Fatsia japonica - apparently you can cut back 1 in 3 stems in April...

minipie · 25/10/2023 11:04

I would have called that a garden plant!

@Alltheusernamesaretakennow thank you.

@minipie indeed! It seems after a v quick google search, this beast is perhaps more suited to outdoors! Who knew? 🤦🏼‍♀️😆

In my defence, I rescued it from the houseplant section!

Mine got so big I planted it in the garden where it did very well.

minipie · 25/10/2023 11:13

It’s clearly very happy inside too 😆

I did that too,it’s huge now

If you’re going to put it in the garden I’d suggest next May rather than the beginning of winter

Thank you @MereDintofPandiculation

As an aside, anyone how much a rear extension would cost? This thing going to need it’s own room at this rate! 😆
