Ripening chillies

I've been growing a couple of chilli plants outdoors that have done quite well this year. However, there are quite a few green and yellow chillis remaining and the temperatures are forecast to drop in the next few days.

Are there any ways I can ripen them or would I need to use them as they are?

Thanks

I brought mine in to the kitchen windowsill last week. They were all green then. I currently have 3 bright red ones, a few half red/ half green and a few small ones still green.

Put them in with some apples, works miracles.

Brilliant news that it is possible to ripen them indoors. I'll bring them inside and pop them in the windowsill with an apple. Thanks.

Leave them on the plant when you bring them indoors if you can.

When I said I put mine on the kitchen windowsill, I did mean the whole plant!

I've got a couple in small pots outside as well, so I'll be bringing them in at the weekend probably.

I thought it best to be explicit Grin
