Hi, 4th summer of growing this rose and am on the verge of digging it out and dumping it! It refuses to grow into a bush but sends up 5ft shoots with a rose/s on the top. I have emailed DA twice and on both occasions have been told to prune a third off and it will grow into a bush, not happening. Any ideas?

I suggest emailing DA with a photo saying their advice hasn’t worked and asking for a refund.

if you’re on the verge of throwing out, no harm in cutting back by two thirds or three quarters.
