Magnolia tree advice

Hi,
I would like to add a magnolia to my garden.
I am thinking stellata possibly stellata roses as I like the pink.
Any advice welcome it's for a smallish average garden.
Any pictures or addice on best type also welcome. I don't actually know what I'm doing.
Where is best to buy from? I really want a tree not a bush.
Garden centres don't seem to stock many trees anymore, so I assume will have to be on line but I'm picky about shape.

M stellata grows naturally as a bush.

The clever mumsnet algorithms sent me your way as I was asking a similar question to yours kindercatmum. Did you find what you were looking for and where did you source your magnolia in the end?

Magnolias naturally grow shrubby, not as trees with a single trunk.

I did get a single stem magnolia stelata. Hilliers shipped it in for me.
So definitely possible!
Now planted in garden so fingers crossed it will grow into a beautiful tree.
