Lidl bulbs

Has anyone bought tulip bulbs from supermarkets and had success? I'm thinking Lidl, Morrisons etc. Or do I need to get them online?

I buy them from literally every supermarket I shop at. Always successful. Spent about £20 in Lidl on bulbs at the weekend

I think I remember a thread on here about Lidl bulbs, and people saying how good they are.

I buy mine from the supermarkets and they've always come up, the yellow ones were a surprise though can't remember choosing yellow.

Last year was my best so far, the Lidl tulips were stars.

Lidl bulbs are really good quality, and they have some unusual looking ones. This spring I had about 50 tulips in our front garden. They looked beautiful until two deer came and had them for dinner! Caught them on doorbell camera. I was so pissed off!
Apparently they aren’t so keen on daffodils, so I’ll have to save the tulips for the back garden in future.

A bit off piste op , my Mum bought one of those ' pollinator shake tubes ' from Asda . The flowers that appeared were stunning and flowered all Summer . It was a purple themed one - including a host of lilac poppies .

I used to always get mine from Wilcos 😥

Some of my best bulbs this year were Lidl.

Thanks to Mumsnet recommendations, I got some lovely daffodil and Darwin tulip bulbs from Lidl. The varieties were on sale at Farmer Gracy for much more (even before adding postage costs).
