DD would like a plant for her room after reading about how they can help clean the air (she lives in a city flatshare) but neither us has a clue what would be suitable - and she’s concerned about the plant attracting insects, keeping it healthy etc. Can anyone advise, please? 😊

Start off with a spider plant- they're indestructible

I second spider plant, or a pilea (also known as a money plant).
Parlour palms are supposed to be good for air quality.
None of mine have attracted bugs.
I have a great app called planta , which tells you when to water each plant.

Devils Ivy is a lovely plant and very easy to care for. I recommend Patch plants. I buy all my houseplants from them.
