Non-grass lawn alternatives please

My lovely dog has toxic wee. I have a small back garden which is a mixture of pavers and lawn.
The lawn is just awful looking. Loads of brown spots - even in the moss. I water each pee in well and I use those petrock things too. I reseed it all the time and that does work but it's never ending and not sustainable in winter.
I'm looking for pee resistant alternatives to grass. Not keen on artificial grass but it does need to be neat and green looking. It's a small shaded area, say 50 square metres. She refuses to pee on the paving stone bits and I can't talk her out for a walk every single wee!
Is there anything?!?

You could try clover, thyme and rupturewort. It's what my landscapers have put down in the "dog garden".

Looks and smells nice

@TheCountessofLocksley rupturewart is a new one to me, that looks great - thank you!

Have a look at fescue grass and perennial Ryegrass as well. * *

Clover is wonderful.

I've done some reading and I've got a pack of fescue grass seed and micro clover and will see what happens!

We take our dogs out for each wee as I can't bear them pissing in the garden. It only takes 5 mins and take them to a bit of scrub at the end of the road.

There is a very funny site on Twitter called Shit Lawns which will put you off astroturf forever
