Hello

I have a little area next to my raised beds, I did have a bench and plant pots here but the pots looked ridiculous sat on top of the woodchip, I moved the bench and decided to create a border with log edging, my questions are this;

What tall hardy plants could I add here? I also want lower cover plants that will spill over the edges, only perennials, any suggestions? It's a south facing garden

I think I'm going to get a trellace for a climber to cover the shed side

Thanks all

How tall is tall? These are a few perennials I’ve got (that are tall when flowering - I’ve got shrubs as a backdrop
).
Verbena Bonariensis
Echinops
Cephalaria
Dierama
Thalyctrum Flavum
Veronicastrum
Eupatorium

Not quite so tall
Helenium
Japanese anenome
Helenium
Echinacea
Agapanthus
Allium
Aquilegia
Achilea

And I’d always have an Erysimum Bowles Mauve because it flowers for months.

Low growing and evergreen
Bergenia
Stachys Lanata
Heucherella (best for shadier spots)
Dianathus
Carex
Omphalodes
Parahebe Snow Clouds
Ajuga
Lavender
Ophiopogon
Helebores

Low growing but not evergreen
Hardy Geraniums (not pelargoniums)
Campanula portenschlagiana
Nepeta
Veronica

I love thalictrum delayvii
It has the most dainty flowers held about ? a metre high.
Not particularly hardy but would love the sun.
