Christmas cactus: is this done for?

I got this cutting about a year ago. It isn't dead but it's really not thriving. It keeps throwing out new leaves. They either then wither before they grow, or fall off as they get bigger. The original cutting is now either corked or diseased, I am not sure which. Is it done for? Should I move it? Does it need repotting?

It currently lives on a windowsill in full-ish sun.

Actually, ignore, sorry- it's infected thrips. I've binned the cutting as I don't want to risk infecting the other plants on the sill.
