Supermarket hyacinths

Ignore the time of year. I'm in the southern hemisphere.

Someone has given me a pot of three hyacinths, very much like the picture, except purple, but with a little plastic scaffold to stop them flopping over. They have quite quickly opened into lovely big flowers.

Could anyone give me some advice about them?

Water? How much? How often?

Repot? When?

They're squished into a little plastic tub - I assume they'd like more room?

I remember my Grandma used to have them in a pretty bowl and they'd flower every year?

Keep them in a cooler place if you want them to last. Enjoy the scent. Try to replant them outdoors, if you have space. Some bulbs need to be chilled before they reflower.

Don’t repot. They’re happy as they are. Water when they become dry - if you can’t see any soil, water before the pot gets too light.

once the flower is over, I in-the UK would plant in the garden, but otherwise repot and keep feeding to build up the bulbs for next year’s flowers. They will probably flower later than this year, as they’ve probably been treated (kept cold for an early “winter”) for early flowering.
