Victoria Plums

I have a Victoria plum tree, by now we’ve normally eaten and harvested the fruit. This year we have fruit but it’s still green and not turned purple. Would you harvest now or hold out for some late sun?

Hold out personally

No point in harvesting unripe fruit

I was talking to our local green grocer the other day and he said plum prices are currently sky high when they are normally cheap as chips by mid August as they are ripening late.

my next-door allotment has a fine old greengage tree, and it's fruits are still unripe, late compared to previous years.

Hold out, they will get there in the end.

Ok I’ll follow the consensus and hold out! Thanks
