Any idea what these are?

Plant app suggested choisya ternata. It's big at least 3-4ft high.

Then the second pic is it a baby horsechestnut or something else?

Penstomen for the first? And yes, I'd agree horse Chestnut for the second.

The first does look like choysia ternata to me. 'Aztec Pearl' at a guess. Penstemons don't have five-lobed leaves, so it can't be that; they're also unlikely to reach four feet tall.

I agree the second is horse chestnut.

Aztec Pearl is a hybrid, Choisya x dewittiana. Leaves too narrow for the pure species Choisya ternata. Otherwise I think @SarahAndQuack is right. And agree horse chestnut.

I didn't know it was a hybrid! Thanks. But I think that's what it is, rather than the species, looking at that picture.

Yes, Choisya ternata has oval leaflets. I haven't been able to find out the parents of C. x dewitteana. ... just had another google. First hit is my post above. But also found "a hybrid of Choisya ternata and Choisya dumosa var. arizonica"
