Can I save my olive tree?

I have two potted olive trees that were damaged a bit by the cold weather in winter. One has recovered and has green leaves again but the other one has remained twiggy. If I scratch the bark there’s still green underneath so I don’t think it’s completely dead?
Any tips for bringing it back?

Put it in full sunshine. Make sure the soil is damp but not soaking wet. If it dries out and needs watering add a tiny amount of plant food, and wait for it to recover. It should be fine. We had a couple of nights of -11 and mine is just recovering now.

You can get olive tree food, but tomato plant food is just as good and cheaper.

It needs as much son as possible. Not too wet or too dry. And feeding.

One of mine has gone the same way. I’ve repotted it and there’s no signs of vine weevil. The soil was very damp so I’m not watering it and have fed it with granula fertiliser. It does have signs of flower buds, so I’m hopeful. Good luck with yours.

My 2 looked a bit dead, I pruned them thinking I had nowt to lose and they went really bushy and are still doing well

Ok so there is hope. How much should I prune it back? It’s literally just a bunch of brown twigs.

Ours was the same last week and now it's sprouting again all over the place! Chop it all back, give it a really hard prune and wait ...

I agree with @MrsPelligrinoPetrichor, be ruthless!

I’ve chopped it back to a few twigs and am patiently waiting….
