Thankyou

At a guess, size of pot? Probably in cms.

NanTheWiser · 28/06/2023 14:19

Or maybe inches, as the plant has the potential to grow to 10 feet. Very confusing!

BeCruelToBeKind · 28/06/2023 14:19

I’d say pot size. They are usually cm or litres. If litres it says 3L in the pot picture so 14 cm pot at a guess.

So this is the size of pot I should buy to pot it into??

It's probably the size of the pot in which it was supplied

MereDintofPandiculation · 28/06/2023 14:41

It would seem so. Pot sizes are either volume, eg 3L, or diameter across the top. 14cm dia is not that large.

Yes, that makes sense

forrestgreen · 28/06/2023 14:56

Ah ok. So completely useless info to me. I was hoping it was a magical way to tell me which would be the right next pot.

Thanks anyway everyone

@forrestgreen , put it in a bigger pot. It will grow into it in no time.
I'd put it in the ground.

BeCruelToBeKind · 28/06/2023 17:18

Tbf, something that could grow the 300cm indicated on that label will need a pretty large pot in the future! But, if you are just wanting one a couple of sizes bigger, then you could get a 3L/19cm pot or jump to 5L/22.5cm pot next.

It's the pot size, I've got some here :)

Fargesia doesn't do well in pots - you need a massive one but would be better in the ground, it's clumping so won't go too far.

In pots it doesn't tolerate the cold well, particularly temps we had last winter, if you do go for a pot, you'll need to fleece it over cold periods

Thanks for the further help.
It'll have to be pots, I've only a yard. I'll get some fleece to wrap it up. Thanks all
