Have this mushrooom in the garden, ds came in saying he's been touching it, worrying now that it's poisonous, anyone know ??

If he's just been touching it, it's unlikely to do him any harm. They have to be eaten to poison someone (assuming it's toxic). If his hands are washed, as a precaution, there should not be a problem.

Oh really ? I didn't realise. Yes we've washed his hands.

From a mushroom app it says it could be a common field cap or a weeping widow, the latter being a bit toxic

You really can’t tell from a photo of the top. You can’t even tell if it has gills.

Just make sure he always washes his hands after touching it (though he’ll probably be fine if he doesn’t)

Need a pic of the underside and the stalk/ base. Apps are notoriously unreliable. You can touch any mushroom, even the deadly ones. Just don't eat them
