I think it is probably a wisteria. Can you see any long green stems which are trying to curl around to grab onto something?

Does anyone know what this tree is please? In flower a month ago.

My first guess would be flowering quince but it is impossible to be certain without a clearer pic of the flowers.

Way too big for Chaenomeles (flowering quince) surely? I think it has tubular flowers. I’ve no idea. Embothrium coccineum?

I'd say Embothrium coccineum too, especially if it was flowering a month ago. It's usually out late April onwards in the far west where I am.
