Lawnmower robots

Are lawnmower robots any good? If so, which one would you recommend?

I have a basic Flymo. I think it's great. It goes out twice a week and trundles around the lawn. We only have to tidy up some of the edges and change the blades every year.

Friends have one, don't know what make but it was quite basic. it just trundles about once they set the wire up to tell it its boundaries.
