Do other plants not like daffodil bulbs?

I know that mixing daffodils with other flowers in a vase can hasten the end of the other flower because of the daffodil sap but does anyone know if the bulbs in the ground have a similar effect on other plants?

I’ve had three plants die which were planted very close to my daffodil bulbs to hide their foliage (a sage, a hosta, and a hellebore). I’m not sure if it was just last year’s weather having a long term effect or if it is the bulbs.

I have daffodil bulbs in my front garden all competing with alliums, muscari, bluebells, rosemary, sage, thyme, marjoram, lavender & lupins. The proximity doesn't appear to have affected any of the others.
Also got daffodils in my raspberry bed, strawberry bed & underneath my boysenberry - again, no issues.
Probably just the weather - has played havoc with so many plants this year.

I have hostas and daffodils planted together and they've always been happy enough

I’m not very good with bulbs on the whole (they go blind or never reappear) and these have only been in since Autumn 2021 so I just wasn’t sure if it was a known problem for certain plant pairings but it looks like a weather issue then.
