Will a self clinging climber damage a shed?

DH has just finished building a shed. It is tongue and groove but it looks a bit brutal in the garden. I was thinking about getting a climber to soften it but DH is worried it will break the shed. I was thinking about Boston ivy or Virginia creeper something that clings all by itself.

Boston ivy or virginia creeper unlikely to pull it apart, ivy would be more risky I suspect.
