Help me save my pineapple sage!

Bought a new pineapple sage, so excited as I had one years ago and loved it.

Overnight it got absolutely decimated by slugs, at least a third of the leaves munched on or gone completely. Even the stems have been chewed on 😭😭 I brought it inside temporarily but it can't really stay inside, what can I do to keep it safe?!

I've repotted it and added copper tape to the pot - I've also put it in a deep 'dish' to create a kind of moat and added gravel to the top of the pot. Will this be enough to keep the slimy bastards at bay?

I feel your pain, except with me it is hostas and dahlias. The moat is what works for me, but: a) you need to make sure you don't have any slugs or snails already on board; b) stand the pot on something in the most so its roots don't just drown.

If you do that and it's in a nice sunny place perhaps it will regrow?
