It’s very pretty. Tolerant of lots of positions, sun, shade etc.
Mine grows well in nutrient poor Sandy soil.

I have some wild poppies that look a bit like that but have little or no gardening knowledge.

Yes, one of the hardy geraniums. With a dissected leaf like that, there’s a fair chance it’s one of the sun loving ones rather than one of the shade lovers
