Lavatera position

A friend has bought me a Lavatera plant as a housewarming gift.

I do have one space in a border, but it only gets sun in the morning and the plant label says full sun.

Do you think there’s a hope it would survive here.

Otherwise I would either have to create a new border on the other side of the garden, which I was planning on doing eventually, but probably not until next year or have it in a pot, but it seems quite large to be in a pot already. Any words of wisdom?

I’ve got a couple planted in an east facing border, so they only get morning sun as well. They’re absolutely fine there and they flower for months on end. Be aware they can get fairly tall, I wish I’d planted mine a bit further towards the back of the border. They’re absolutely lovely plants- what a great gift from your friend!

Ah thanks @rosiebluu I will plant it in the space (it is against a wall so hopefully height will be ok). Thanks for the advice x
