Red ants in garden HELP

Okay, so they seem to have a big nest. I've found at least 7 openings in my lawn area. They kind of just appeared from now where it seems ? I've tried some gel stuff that apparently they take back to the nest, but it honestly didn't seem like it worked at all. I've gave up and poured boiling water on them all, I don't care about the grass at this point. Anyone use anything that actually worked against the red ants ??

To add: I'm wanting to redo the grass with artificial grass anyways because it is better for my asd child, hence why I am not bothered about the grass.

No idea but following in hopes. I’m very much a “Leave them be” type but these fuckers have taken over our lawn

I've used a mixture of icing sugar and bicarbonate before it's not nice as it blows them up!

@PurelyBelter I hope we get some solid advice, because I am a 'leave them be' type too, but needs must as they are biters and EVERYWHERE

@ranoutofquinoaandprosecco Oh, that sounds so horrible. I feel like I'm at a point of 'gotta do what you gotta do' because so far, nothing is working

I am horrified, I have peonies all over my garden border this year, for some reason the small plant from two-three years ago spread all by itself. Obviously I kept them because they are pretty enough. The main entrance (at least I think it is) is right by the bigger plant !
