I’m going to the RHS Malvern spring show. I have never been before. Does anyone have any advice that I could learn from to make my day easier and more enjoyable?

I am staying locally, and have accommodation and parking booked.

Sensible shoes, waterproof, and layers, it gets hot in the Marquees. Question for food and drinks can be long, so I’d take something to eat and drink.
A fold up bag for the lovely plants you buy.

Get there before the gates open and go and have a coffee first thing while you look at the show guide and decide what to look at (and suss out where the loos are). Then tour the show gardens before the crowds arrive in earnest, anything else specific that you don't want to miss, then more coffee and cake while you regroup. Then saunter about wherever.

That's what I did at Chelsea last time anyway, although I've never been to the Malvern one.

The Malvern one is on the Three Counties Showground about three mikes out of town, so best take a flask for that pre-show coffee Grin

Do spend time in Malvern (Priory, Abbey Gateway, the floral wrought iron decorations on the ceiling posts at Gt Malvern Station), and walk along the ridge of the hills for views to Wales one side and across the Severn Valley to the Cotswolds on the other

Thank you. I shall take a picnic and a flask of coffee. And I shall definitely be wearing waterproofs!
