Swifts!

OK, it's not really about gardening. But I was out repotting an allium yesterday when I heard the first swifts of the year, which made me very happy. Always such a welcome sound - harbinger of summer, and it seems fitting that they arrived in my area (London) on such a warm and sunny day. 🕊

Funny, just been out in the garden and heard the first, quite unmistakable shriek. I looked up and there they were.

I love them too, the sound of the summer!
