Can anyone recommend a non-heavy lawn rake?

The old family lawn rake packed up a year or two ago, down to its final metal spokes. In fairness I should have wised up and got one of those massive spread green plastic rakes you get from all kinds of places, as it's far better for gathering up oak tree leaves in autumn without making heavy work of it.

However, the light plastic rake is no use for getting up moss or scarifying.

Now, my old rake - which must have been bought in the 1970s - has a light handle that you'd hardly think about picking up it was a doddle. Replacement rakes in garden centres or Wilko have a lovely looking wooden handle but are just too heavy. You're tired before you start. What happened to the make of lighter rake? We had some other garden equipment with the same light handle - a hoe and an edger, for instance. Those long garden shears, too.

Why don't they sell these old style rakes? Or do I just not know where to look?

Is it not possible to reuse the old handle with a new head?
