Agapanthus woes

I lost all my lovely agapanthus this winter, even those in my greenhouse. Some I had been growing for years and the were really quite large. I’m trying to find replacements without much success as local nurseries say they have the same problem.
if I buy bare root ones would they flower this year? I have three lovely big Long Tom pots which had huge very dark blue flowered agapanthus: I would love to find large ish replacements. Any ideas, please?

Are you absolutely sure they are dead? It has been quite a late Spring, sometimes things which appear totally inanimate can put out a late shoot. If they are rotten, that’s different obviously.

I just noticed a tiny glimmer of green on a salvia I thought was completely knackered.

The ones I have investigated ate rotten; I’m holding on to a few but not even a glimmer of green.
I think all but two of my salvias have perished too.

I've just been checking mine in pots ... the old yellow remains of the leaf clumps just pulled out very easily - are they dead? Can't see any new growth. I've had them about 10 years 😫

Mine have only started with greenery this week, so it might be worth holding fire for a couple of weeks just in case?

Thanks JulieHoney ... Will be poking at them every day!
