I would like to go this year but would be going alone so want to know it’s definitely worth the trip - has anyone been and would they recommend?

Yes I’ve been. There are better garden shows for show gardens BUT it’s really good (maybe one of the best) for shopping for plants, ornaments and pots.

Malvern RHS garden show is lovely for show gardens and a reasonable entry price unlike Chelsea and Hampton court.

I really enjoy Gardeners World Live for the talks, not just the big famous names, which are really good too, but also the smaller stages where it's easier to ask questions from the experts. I went on my own last year and really learnt a lot and came away with so many ideas (and a bagful of plants). One of my favourite talks, I just ducked under a marquee to get out of the rain and listened to such an inspiring talk about wildlife ponds. I can't wait to go again this year.
