Easy plants

I've a number of pots around my garden and I'm pretty useless at gardening - in fact totally useless

What can I plant that will keep coming back each year in small pots

My sister thought lavender.? Any other plants to could buy and don't need much looking after and will come back.

Small pots are difficult because they need regular watering. Bigger pots are better because you can ignore them more (I have made this error many times!)

Sedums, dianthus, snow in summer, hellebores, bulbs, small shrubs like spiraeas are very hardy and come in different coloured leaf hues.

Ok thank I will have a look at some of them.
