I picked up 4 of these yesterday from a roadside stabd for £2 each! But, the last time I planted any (£15 a go garden centre variety....) they died. They were in a relatively sunny spot, loose slightly gravelly soil I think. Maybe too damp?

I have so e normal lavender doing ok on the front, would I be better to put them there? Or any other tips to help them survive?

Mine are in a total all day sunny stop. I added horticulture grit when I planted them. Watered them in and ignored them and they have been great. So yes maybe to damp?

Yes, the soil us loose and gritty bit does hold the damp. It's by an old wall , not sure if that's the issue. The front doesn't get sun til later in the day. But I'd dryer I think.
