We moved into a property with a large garden. It's lovely but the fences are currently so short and we'd like to put up 6FT fences within our boundary - would you need to ask the neighbour's permission for this (on the right)

We also want to make it more cosy with trees but have no gardening experience. Would we be able to plant grown trees? The previous vendor had a large tree planted but chopped it off- the stump is still there but I'm guessing it cannot be revived? We desperately need some tips and advice!

Show a photo of the stump. You can certainly put your own fences up and also plant trees

I imagine if the tree has been chopped down it is because it was dead.

You can put fully grown trees in, they cost a bomb and you will need a crane but it would be possible.

We put good quality 6ft willow screening rolls along each fence, makes an immediate difference. You could also buy smaller (cheaper) and attach higher up your fence.
