Patio tiles - help please

We need a new patio but are finding it really hard to choose the right tiles. We have looked at so many but can't quite find the right thing. At the moment we are having an extension built which will have white with a pale grey marble effect tile 600 x 600. This will lead out onto a patio at the same level. We would like a contrasting tile outside and we're thinking of a pale grey. We would like a smoothish sharp cornered porcelain tile but can't decide whether to stick with 600x600 or have 600x900. We also are struggling to find a pale grey that isn't too beige or too green in tone. Does anyone have advice or suggestions please? The size of the paio is about 46 square m over 2 levels with some steps.

You might get more advice on tiles if you try the DIY section? There are a lot of people on there but less people check the gardening section.

We would like a contrasting tile outside
Why?
If the tiles are the same / similar then you bring the outside in; it makes the garden more of an 'additional room'. Have a look at this video.

Thank you for the video link. That's got me thinking! We couldn't find a light grey tile that we liked inside, which is why we went for white. However I think I'm going to have to look again now! Inside we definitely need 600x600 tiles due to the room size. Should we go the same outside or would a bigger size in the same colour work too? We're worried about a large space outside looking like a checker board.
