Too cold to plant ?

Hi
gardening newbie here! I bought a few plants at b&q yesterday. Bellflowers, dianthus and some lavender. I was planning on planting them into the border but now I’m wondering if I should, with it being so cold ?
what is best to do with them ? I left them in the shed last night.

I have been planting for a few weeks. Lots of the plants I have bought have been spring plants. So needed to be put in.
I did check with the people at the garden centre. They have only said a few things will need covering with a frost.

I've planted out lavender, foxgloves and some other perennials. It's just the more tender stuff that would need to wait

Ah right, great. Thankyou 😊

If it was kept outside at the garden centre you should be fine to plant so long as your soil isn't frozen (it won't be) or waterlogged (ie visible pools of standing water or the planting hole fills with water when you dig it and won't go away)
