Chimney Pot

I have a chimney pot I want to plant, it's sort of a family heirloom, and I'm concerned about it blowing over.

Will it be ok if I fill it with bricks and put a planter in the top or should I bury it in a border a little bit?

I have found them to be quite heavy and sturdy, are you in a particularly windy spot? I put bricks or spare pots inside to build up enough height for the pot that will hold the plants to sit on.

I buried one - just a couple of inches. It has survived every named storm so far.

It can get quite windy in my back garden unfortunately, I might try bricks and burying it slightly just to be sure.
