Kale, what should I be doing now?

Finding it a bit confusing. If growing from seed when is sowing and harvesting?

I have started mine off indoors, from seed. It's currently about 2cm high so you have time to start. Or you can sow direct once the frsots have passed.

I'll plant out in about 2-4 weeks (weather and size depending) and expect to harvest about June time because I want the younger leaves. Alternatively you can leave it to grow bigger and more mature and harvest it later.

I don’t plant till June because I want to harvest in winter.

Sow some seeds at varying intervals to spread your crop. Kale will grow all winter but at a decreased rate so better to have more plants over that period.
I have mature plants that have over-wintered outside and are now growing and cropping again.
